If your horsebox is insured with Shearwater Insurance Services, you can benefit from a very special deal on Equine Rescue Services horsebox breakdown membership.

These breakdown membership packages, which are exclusively for Shearwater customers, give horsebox owners all the peace of mind which comes from being supported by Equine Rescue’s dedicated incident control centre and nationwide networks of mechanical agents and horse transporters.

There are three levels of horsebox breakdown membership available to Shearwater horsebox insurance customers:

Shearwater Roadside Assist

Just one telephone call into our dedicated control centre will source all the assistance you need. A mechanical agent will be sent out to try and get you going again. If roadside repair of your horsebox is not possible, fresh horse transport will be sent out to take your horses home or to any other destination in the UK, and your horsebox will be recovered to the nearest suitable garage or your home (whichever is closer). With this level of breakdown membership, free transport of horses and horsebox is limited to 30 miles from your breakdown location, with any further transport being payable.

Shearwater Road Rescue Long Distance

All the benefits of Shearwater Roadside Assist, but with no 30-mile limit on the free transport of horses and horsebox. If roadside repair of your horsebox is not possible, fresh horse transport will be sent out to take your horses home or to any other destination in the UK, and your horsebox will be recovered to the nearest suitable garage or your home (whichever is closer).

Shearwater Road Rescue Plus

All the benefits of Shearwater Road Rescue Long Distance, with the additional benefit of a 'Get-you-going' service from the address where your horsebox is normally kept.

All three packages include overnight accommodation for horses, drivers and grooms if onward transport is not practical.
